Eddie Cox is an American/Australian sports events promoter who has been bringing top sports personalities from around the world to Australia.
Born and raised from Westside of Chicago and considered a playground legend. Eddie developed a passion for basketball at a young age and later played at Farragut high school in Chicago – the same school Kevin Garnett was drafted to the NBA out of.
Sporting Achievements:
– Eddie attended ITASCA community college in Minnesota and was a second team All-American.
– From Junior college Eddie attended University of North Dakota for 2 years and had a great college career.
– Post College Eddie played professionally in New Zealand, Phillipines, Hong King, Singapore, Taiwan and for 3 teams in Australia.
– Eddie Cox came to Melb in 1993 and played for the Werribee Devils for 4 years where he and the team won the Championship 3 out of 4 years – being the League MVP 4 years in a row. He was named Werribee’s all time best player.
– After 4 years Eddie went to play for the Broadmeadows Broncos and was team MVP twice. He is featured on the team’s Wall of Fame.
Eddie’s company, Cox Sports Entertainment, specialises in organizing meet and greets, clinics, and other events featuring sports stars from various disciplines. He has worked with some of the biggest names in sports, including Tim Hardaway and Eric Gordon to name a few.
